Role Overview

We are hiring a highly experienced and result-driven State Sales Manager to lead, train, and grow Medical Representatives (MRs) and drive state-wide business operations. The candidate must have prior experience in establishing new pharma companies, launching new divisions, or scaling franchise-based/ethical pharma networks.

This role requires leadership, consistency, strong doctor-connect, and deep understanding of pharma field sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end state sales operations, including MR teams, distributors, and stockists.
  • Recruit, train, guide and monitor Medical Representatives / Territory Business Executives.
  • Ensure daily MR reporting, route planning, doctor coverage and monthly visit frequency.
  • Build strong business relationships with doctors (GPs & Specialists), stockists, chemists & hospitals.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales, ensuring consistent monthly achievement.
  • Execute market strategies, schemes, product visibility, and doctor engagement activities (CME, branding, samplings).
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide product/market intelligence to management.
  • Maintain discipline in reporting, compliance, and ethical field promotion standards.
  • Coordinate with management for supply chain, marketing material, new launches, and state expansion roadmap.
  • Scale presence across the state through PCD/ethical network development where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

✔ 6–12 years of pharma field experience
✔ Minimum 2–4 years in a Team Handling / State / Regional Manager Role
✔ Experience launching or scaling fast-growing pharma brands, PCD divisions or startup pharma companies
✔ Strong command of doctor conversion, MR training, field execution and sales tracking
✔ Good network of doctors, stockists and market connections in assigned state
✔ Target-driven, disciplined, confident communicator and strategic thinker
✔ Willingness to travel extensively across the state
