Presbyterian Medical Center – Charlotte, NC
Schedule: 7pm–7am, Full-Time, Night Shift

Join a Team with Heart
Step into a unit where teamwork, adaptability, and positivity thrive. Our Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) provides care for patients under observation or requiring short-stay hospitalization. Nurses in this fast-paced environment assess, monitor, and provide care for a wide range of patients while collaborating with physicians and care teams to determine next steps—whether admission, discharge, or transfer.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
  • Caring for diverse patient populations, including cardiac, neuro, medical, and post-op
  • Rapid assessment and frequent reassessment to guide patient care plans
  • Managing IV therapies, drips, and telemetry monitoring
  • Providing patient and family education for discharge readiness
  • Coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic setting

What makes this unit stand out:
  • A fast-paced, high-turnover environment—ideal for nurses who thrive on variety and quick decision-making
  • Growth opportunities in both clinical expertise and leadership pathways
  • 24/7 leadership support and strong interdisciplinary collaboration
  • A team that values flexibility, critical thinking, and patient-centered care

If you’re ready for a nursing role that combines rapid assessment skills, teamwork, and the ability to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a short timeframe—this is the place to be.
What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
