A part-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to support the Special Education (SPED) Department within a K-12 school setting in Cartersville, GA. This role requires traveling to multiple school sites throughout the week and will begin with the upcoming school semester around January 5th, 2026, extending through July. The position offers a dynamic schedule, with hours fluctuating based on the academic calendar, including extended coverage into June and July.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage contracted Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) assigned to the SPED Department.

Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

Provide training and support to school staff regarding health protocols and student medical needs.

Ensure compliance with school nursing standards and support overall student health and safety.

Coordinate care plans and communicate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Previous experience as a school nurse preferred, with knowledge of school health programs.

Ability and willingness to travel between multiple school sites weekly.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Knowledge of SPED-related health requirements is a plus.
