Role Overview:

Orbit ISS is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer for the BorWin6 Offshore HVDC Project to manage CE marking, EU regulatory compliance, and German national requirements (DGUV V3). The role involves oversight of ATEX, PED, MED, and system-level certification activities, with a strong focus on HVAC and E&I systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with EU directives (Machinery, LVD, ATEX, PED, MED, CPR).
  • Review and validate vendor documents and equipment certifications.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, certification bodies, and vendors on compliance deliverables.
  • Lead and support risk assessments and preparation of Declarations of Conformity (DoC).
  • Maintain technical files, compliance matrices, and traceability documentation.
  • Ensure regulatory alignment with DGUV (V3) and ATEX requirements for E&I systems.
  • Support self-certification for HVAC systems and MC/ITR documentation handover.
  • Track certification progress and identify compliance gaps.
  • Provide training and guidance on CE marking and regulatory requirements.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in certification, CE marking, or regulatory compliance for offshore, renewable energy, or HVDC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CE marking and EU product safety legislation (ATEX, DGUV V3, PED, MED, CPR).
  • Experience with CoC/DoC validation and technical file preparation.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
