About The Role
The Scientist I/II will be a key member of the Research & Development team, reporting to the Director of Research.

About The Role
The Scientist I/II will be a key member of the Research & Development team, reporting to the Director of Research.
What you"ll do
- Design and execute laboratory experiments in collaboration with R&D, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Develop project plans, protocols, amendments, quantitative analyses, and reports in compliance with Contraline's Quality System.
- Design test methodologies and fabricate tools for device and prototype testing.
- Support formulation development within cross-functional teams.
- Conduct chemical and materials characterization, analyze data, and generate reports.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot scientific equipment.
- Prepare data and reports for meetings, publications, patents, and regulatory submissions.
- Assist with laboratory management, including inventory, safety compliance, and logistics.

Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to maintain a secure research environment.
- BS in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or related field.
- Scientist I: 2-3 years of relevant industry experience or master's degree Scientist II: 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or 2-3 years with a master's degree
- Experience in developing medical devices is highly encouraged
- Experience in polymer chemistry is desired, but not required
- Applicants should have a high level of interest in learning and contributing to product development and translational research
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
- Creative, flexible, and independent thinking
