Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, fixtures, and panels in residential buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, assemble, and secure electrical components efficiently.
- Conduct testing using devices such as ohmmeters and ammeters to ensure circuits are functioning correctly and safely.
- Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to guarantee all work meets safety and quality regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on construction sites or existing homes by diagnosing problems with low voltage or high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams, including frame carpenters and other tradespeople, to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless installation processes.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus, demonstrating versatility across different environments.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately to guide installation work.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems (such as alarm or data wiring) as well as high voltage applications for comprehensive electrical expertise.
- Familiarity with the use of testing equipment including ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Construction site experience that emphasizes safety protocols and efficient workflow management.

Pay: $35.00 - $65.00 per hour
