Overview of the Assignment:
Join our school near Los Altos, CA as a Resource Specialist Program Teacher, where your passion for student development and inclusive education will make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Your expertise will help students overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential within a collaborative school community. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to each student’s unique needs and learning goals.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to coordinate support strategies.
  • Monitor student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as necessary to ensure growth.
  • Provide direct instruction and behavioral support to students in small group or one-on-one settings.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student performance, interventions, and progress reports.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives focused on best practices in special education.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably within a university or higher education environment.
  • Strong understanding of special education principles, accommodations, and individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and behavioral needs.
  • Organized with keen attention to detail for tracking student progress and maintaining records.
  • Energetic approach combined with a genuine passion for fostering student growth and inclusion. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $61.00 per hour
