Position Summary: As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations to ensure that our guests receive top-notch service. You will lead, train, and motivate our staff, manage daily operations, and work to create a welcoming and efficient environment for both guests and employees.
Ideal Candidate Background: The ideal candidate will have a background in full service, casual restaurant operations. Experience in bar centric concepts is a plus. Fast food/Fast Casual experience will not qualify for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor and enhance the guest experience by observing service and quality of food and beverage
Guest Experience:
- Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs within budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and control expenses related to front-of-house operations.
- Assist in developing and managing budgets and financial plans.
- Analyze sales and service performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for weekly inventory and to ensure costs are aligned with budget
Team Leadership:
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for service and professionalism.
- Encourage and implement team initiatives to improve service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Service Manager in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of service protocols, health and safety regulations, and hospitality best practices.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
