Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail sales and a passion for helping customers find the right products to meet their needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance with product inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
• Perform merchandising tasks to maintain an organized and attractive sales floor.
• Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring products are readily available for customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and encourage sales.
• Upsell products when appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone.

Skills

• Proven experience in retail sales with a strong background in customer service.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on interpersonal interactions.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
