About The Job

As our Sacramento office continues to grow, we are actively looking to hire an experienced attorney (Senior Associate or Senior Counsel, depending on experience) with a minimum of 5+ years of employment litigation experience (management-side) to join a tight-knit group of dedicated and diverse professionals. In-office or hybrid. This attorney will work on litigation and non-litigation matters for a diverse range of clients, from regional businesses to Fortune 500 corporations across many industries. This attorney will have the opportunity to have client contact, to manage matters, and to supervise other attorneys. The typical billed hour requirement of 1,800 hours is flexible and subject to negotiation. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and a salary range from $180,000 to $310,000 depending on experience and the agreed upon billed hour requirement.


Opportunity

The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter who is eager to learn and take on challenging work that will provide supervision opportunities and client contact.

The attorney will collaborate and make strategic decisions in consultation with the relationship partners, execute on those strategic decisions, and managing matters, direct defense discovery efforts, take and defend depositions (including the plaintiff's deposition), and handle a variety of litigated and non-litigated matters. Ample training and mentorship by partners will be provided.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law litigation in California.
  • Class action experience preferable.
  • Successful candidates will be highly motivated, possess excellent writing, analytical and people skills, value a collaborative team environment, and will be prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to supervise and manage other more junior attorneys, work well with clients, and independently manage significant litigation matters,
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.


Education

  • Juris Doctor with a strong academic record.
  • Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and be in good standing in the state of California.
