Safety Officer

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

• Conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Verify proper use of PPE by all workers.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Risk Management

• Prepare and assist with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments.
• Review contractor safety plans and method statements.
• Support implementation of control measures.

Incident Management

• Respond to accidents and near-miss incidents.
• Conduct investigations and prepare incident reports.
• Maintain safety records and documentation.

Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction sessions.
• Organize emergency drills and safety training programs.
• Promote safe work practices among all site personnel.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on safety matters.
• Stop unsafe work and escalate issues when needed.
• Monitor compliance with work permits (hot work, confined space, lifting, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly safety reports.
• Maintain permits, logs, and safety documentation.
• Keep records of inspections and corrective actions.

Emergency Preparedness

• Ensure emergency response plans are in place and functional.
• Check availability of firefighting equipment, first aid kits, and signage.
• Participate in emergency response activities.
