Safety Officer

We are looking for a Safety Officer who is responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. This role plays a key part in preventing accidents, responding to incidents, and supporting continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and awareness programs for staff.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records.
• Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper availability.
• Coordinate emergency drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid response.
• Assist in developing safe work method statements (SWMS) and job safety analyses (JSA).
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and management to improve site safety.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification (preferred or required depending on industry).
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction, industrial, or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard control, and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in high-risk environments and respond quickly to emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR4,000.00 per month
