Position: Safety Officer

Location: Dubai

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures in compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any hazards or non-compliance issues.
• Support the Senior Safety Officer in developing and conducting safety training programs for employees.
• Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times on-site.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, incident logs, and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
• Actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
• Assist in preparing safety plans and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure proper emergency response preparedness and support during drills or real incidents.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote a safety-conscious culture across all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the UAE, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or similar high-risk industries.
• Education: A relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), Environmental Health, or related field.
• Certifications: NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE safety laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., OSHAD, Dubai Municipality, etc.).
• Skills:
• Ability to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety reporting tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
