About the Role
Sunset Hospitality Group is currently looking for a Sales and Events Manager to join our Tapasake Team in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Directly assist the General Manager in the achievement of the brands' business plan and sales goals by developing and executing a robust sales strategy and setting clear KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies for events to achieve the annual revenue targets, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
- Manage all event inquiries from initial contact through to the day of the event, maintaining close communication with the client to ensure all requirements are met and the event runs smoothly.
- Evaluate and critically analyse all events post-delivery, including gathering and assessing customer feedback to improve future event planning and execution.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on the day of events to ensure all details align with the client's expectations, overseeing the seamless execution of each event.
- Drive the growth of the brand's hospitality by generating corporate and private events.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to identify and capitalize on cross selling and upselling opportunities for corporate or PR/media event clients.
- Identify and, in consultation with the General Manager, implement new business opportunities that could enhance the venue's profitability.
- Administer and maintain standardized inquiry handling procedure in order to maximize hospitality revenue and ensure consistent service quality.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of current and previous customers for use in promoting special offers and other promotional activities.
- Analyze sales activity and performance data to adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.
- Management of client contracts and paperwork.
- Ensure that all inquiries are properly recorded and responded to in a professional and timely manner, reflecting the brand's standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely delivery of services and materials for events.
- Actively participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote the venue, stay informed of industry trends, and build relationships with potential clients.
- Ensure full compliance with Sunset Hospitality Group policies and procedures, as well as adherence to all relevant governmental laws and regulations.
- Perform any other duties related to this role as assigned by the General Manager, contributing to the overall success of the events department and the venue.
Qualifications
- Degree in Event Management or Hospitality from a reputable university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience organizing and managing events; with proven record of positive sales impact.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong planning and budgetary skills.
- Confident and dynamic personality.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Creative.
- Good business awareness including external markets and competitor positions.
- Good knowledge of policies and procedures, their development and applications.
- Strong relationship building skills.
