Your role


In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective local business line sales strategy within the UAE Cluster (AE and KW) and implement it, to improve ABB’s market penetration and realize our growth potential. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of the sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and services to ensure sustainable order growth and market share, while increasing sales productivity and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the sales team to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics Division based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, UAE.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Defines and monitors sales performance by setting and monitoring individual and team targets, metrics, and measurement tools, and proactively addressing shortfalls.
  • Drives growth and key account relationship management through identifying new opportunities, planning resource allocation, and building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic and high-value clients.
  • Manages pricing and contracts by negotiating key projects and agreements and maintaining competitive price levels.
  • Supports risk management and compliance by monitoring client financial status, reporting risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Enhances processes and collaboration by developing sales tools, training programs, and ensuring proper usage of CRM Tools.
  • Builds organizational capability through team guidance, mentoring, competence assessments and performance reviews, and continuous skill development to improve product knowledge and selling skills.


What it takes to Run what runs the world

  • BSc Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant technical sales experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical or power generation sector in the Middle East and strong knowledge in gas analyzers and water/liquid analyzers
  • Strong people-management skills with 5 years’ experience in managing sales teams, coaching and mentoring a team of sales professionals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, system integrators and channel partners
  • Demonstrated success in building territory strategies, managing sales pipelines across countries, and supporting the team to achieve collective orders and growth targets
  • Competent in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement and high initiative to drive change
  • Arabic language proficiency preferred
