Sales Manager - Leisure & Luxury Travel

Support the Director of Leisure in executing the sales plan and driving growth within the leisure segment. This role focuses on expanding the client base across all markets, particularly in the Luxury and Leisure Group Business, enhancing client satisfaction, and achieving sales targets through effective sales strategies and market analysis.

Job Scope - Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting potential clients in key source markets.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Execution - Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the main point of contact for leisure clients, managing day to day communications and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international and domestic clients, including travel agents, tour operators, and travel agencies.
  • Collaborate internally and with partners to coordinate travel packages and ensure smooth execution.

Operational Efficiency - Product & Process Optimization

  • Deliver FIT specialized, Luxury and group itineraries tailored to different market needs and varying lengths of stay.
  • Ensure the product portfolio meets the needs of various market segments within the leisure category.
  • Work with the marketing team to create communication plans that align with the sales strategy.
  • Streamline sales processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce response times.
  • Implement and utilize sales tools and technologies to optimize sales operations and reporting.

Creative Solutions - Product Innovation

  • Work with the Product team to design unique travel packages and experiences that differentiate the DMC offerings from competitors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized itineraries based on client needs and preferences.
  • Identify emerging travel trends and incorporate them into product offerings.

Reporting - Data & Insights

  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, performance, and market trends to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address challenges.

An ideal candidate should have:

  • Degree in any business related course or equivalent in Tourism, Hospitality Management or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a leisure focused role within a DMC.
  • Experience as a Tour Operator or hospitality environment.
