WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As Sales Support you’ll be part of our Centralized Customer Operations Team, providing top-level support to key customer accounts. You’ll play a vital role in delivering excellent service by managing orders, resolving issues, and building relationships with customers, sales teams, and internal partners.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage key customer accounts and support sales associates to ensure accurate order placement and timely follow-up.
  • Oversee the full order process cycle, including freight and logistics, while resolving exceptions such as credit holds or inventory availability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Credit, Inventory, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, and Branch Managers to provide complete solutions.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email, with future opportunities to use text and web chat.
  • Handle customer service activities including returns, invoicing, billing, backorders, and claims.
  • Support digital onboarding for customers onto our B2B platform.
  • Execute outbound calls for promotions or special projects.
  • Develop strong knowledge of SouthernCarlson’s product offerings and share solutions with customers.
  • Look for ways to streamline processes and improve customer experience.

  • Bring Experience – You have at least 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience, with ecommerce and ERP systems being a plus.
  • Know the Tools – Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office is preferred; knowledge of construction tools, fasteners, or accessories is a bonus.
  • Meet the Physical Demands – You’re able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
