Position Overview

The SAP Consultant – BTP/CPI is responsible for designing, developing, and managing integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). The role includes building and optimizing iFlows, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange, and supporting integration architecture across enterprise applications. The consultant will work closely with technical teams, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and well-governed integrations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Design & Architecture

• Design end-to-end integration solutions across SAP and third-party systems using SAP BTP/CPI.
• Analyze business integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and SAP best practices.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and integration lifecycle strategies.

2. iFlow Development & Configuration

• Develop, configure, test, and deploy iFlows using SAP CPI.
• Build integration flows using SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDocs, and other adapters.
• Implement mapping (XML, JSON), transformations, message routing, and exception handling.
• Reuse integration packages, custom content, and BTP services effectively.

3. Integration Management & Connectivity

• Configure secure connections between cloud and on-premise systems using Cloud Connector.
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP Commerce, SAP C4C, and external applications.
• Handle authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, Basic Auth, Certificates, and SAML.
• Monitor and optimize message processing to ensure reliability and performance.

4. Testing, Deployment & Operations

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing for all integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in test and production environments.
• Support release management, version control, and documentation of integration artifacts.
• Monitor interfaces and provide root-cause analysis for failures or performance gaps.

5. Collaboration & Support

• Work with business and IT teams to gather integration requirements.
• Provide advisory support on integration patterns and best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional project teams.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and create training/support materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).
• Experience with SAP BTP services, integration suite, and extensions.
• Deep understanding of integration protocols (SOAP, REST, SFTP, HTTPS).
• Strong skills in message mappings (XSLT, JavaScript, Groovy).
• Knowledge of workflow tools, API management, and security concepts.
• Familiarity with Cloud Connector, Certificates, Keystore management.
• Experience integrating SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, CRM, C4C, Commerce) and external platforms.

Experience Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in SAP integrations.
• Hands-on experience developing and managing iFlows in SAP CPI.
• Experience in at least 2–3 large integration projects.

Preferred Certifications

• SAP Certified Integration Developer – SAP BTP Integration Suite
• SAP CPI Certification (region-dependent)
• SAP BTP Extension Developer Certification (advantageous)
• Agile/Scrum Certification (optional)

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (required)
• Arabic is a plus (optional)
