Job Title: SAP Production Officer
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Manager
Job Summary
The SAP Production Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating all production-related activities within SAP. The role ensures accurate production planning, monitoring, and reporting to support efficient manufacturing operations. This position requires strong SAP (PP/MM) knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Create and maintain production plans using SAP PP (Production Planning) modules.
- Convert planned orders to process/production orders in SAP.
- Schedule production orders in alignment with capacity and material availability.
- Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and ensure timely order confirmation.
2. SAP System Operations
- Enter, update, and validate production data in SAP PP/MM.
- Monitor material availability; run MRP and analyze requirements.
- Maintain master data (BOMs, routings, work centers) in coordination with relevant teams.
- Manage production order creation, release, confirmation, and closure.
3. Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily production outputs and compare them with plan.
- Generate SAP reports (stock levels, order status, consumption, efficiency).
- Analyze variances in production orders (material, time, cost) and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate material shortages or production delays and recommend solutions.
- Support team members in resolving SAP issues or data inconsistencies.
5. Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of SAP data.
- Ensure production activities follow company SOPs, quality standards, and safety rules.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support SAP enhancements or rollouts.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and drive improvements.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Production Technology, or related field.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a production, planning, or manufacturing role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP (MM module knowledge is an advantage).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
