Scan to BIM QA / QC Specialist

Position : Scan to BIM QA/ QC Specialist

Location : Ahmedabad , Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate point cloud registration, alignment, and data cleanliness before modeling begins.
• Check that BIM models accurately represent site conditions and comply with the required Level of Detail (LOD) and project standards.
• Conduct quality audits at key project stages (e.g., data acquisition, modeling, deliverables) to detect and address discrepancies, clashes, or data loss.
• Implement and document QC procedures, including alignment checks, metadata tagging, and traceability from model elements to original scan data.
• Coordinate with scan operators, modelers, and project managers to resolve identified issues and maintain a robust project approval workflow.
• Utilize automated tools and scripts where available for deviation analysis, clash detection, and compliance checks with BIM and Scan to BIM standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with Scan to BIM workflows, including point cloud processing and advanced modeling.
• Proficiency with software tools such as Autodesk ReCap, Revit, Navisworks, Faro Scene, or Leica Cyclone.
• Strong understanding of data standards, tolerances, LOD requirements, and QA/QC best practices in BIM environments.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data for quality risks.
