School Break Teacher/ Counselor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our team as the SCHOOL BREAK (December, January, February, April and Summer) TEACHER/ COUNSELOR. The position is perfect for teachers, retirees and college students looking for a flexible schedule and supplemental income. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children during the camp day by facilitating their learning and development through engaging activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to manage a classroom effectively while promoting positive behavior and fostering educational growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with students in a safe and supportive environment.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Must pass background check
• Must have own transportatipn, ride share.
• Ability to demonstrate effective behavior management strategies.
• A passion for teaching and nurturing young minds through creative play and structured learning.
• Dedication and commitment to work schedule with punctuality.
• ​​ Flexibility and adaptability to feedback from management, School support team and parents.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
