Science Teaching Intern for Middle School

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic long-term substitute teacher or intern to teach 6th–8th Grade Science from January 5, 2026 through May 29, 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced long-term substitute or a student-teacher seeking a paid practicum placement for the spring semester. The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and passionate about supporting middle-school learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned to curriculum standards
• Manage classroom routines, behavior expectations, and daily operations
• Oversee labs, activities, and hands-on learning appropriate for middle school
• Grade assignments and maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Education, Science, or related field
• Experience working with middle-school students preferred
• Ability to follow the existing curriculum while contributing creative ideas
• Must be reliable and committed to the full January–May assignment
