SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:

On a day-to-day basis, scientist is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex analytical experiments using HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FT-IR, Dissolution etc.

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Agilent LC and MS instruments using Agilent OpenLab and EMPOWER softwares.
  • Ability to optimize methods, as well as analyze raw materials, intermediates, drug substance and drug product samples accurately in accordance with established methods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performing experiments to support drug substance and drug product development and release of finished products.
  • Analyze data acquired to draw conclusions based on statistical analysis and established quality control criteria.
  • Document work in ELN in compliance with company procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Performing duties with commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to best practices is essential.
  • Occasionally, coordination with service engineers and company facilities team to schedule maintenance of analytical instrumentation is required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or related field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry.
  • One to five years of chromatography experience in pharmaceutical analytical field is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and qualifying LC methods utilizing Agilent liquid chromatography instruments is desired.

Salary info:

$65 - $70 / hr
