SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:
On a day-to-day basis, scientist is expected to perform a variety of routine and complex analytical experiments using HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FT-IR, Dissolution etc.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Agilent LC and MS instruments using Agilent OpenLab and EMPOWER softwares.
- Ability to optimize methods, as well as analyze raw materials, intermediates, drug substance and drug product samples accurately in accordance with established methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing experiments to support drug substance and drug product development and release of finished products.
- Analyze data acquired to draw conclusions based on statistical analysis and established quality control criteria.
- Document work in ELN in compliance with company procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
- Performing duties with commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to best practices is essential.
- Occasionally, coordination with service engineers and company facilities team to schedule maintenance of analytical instrumentation is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry or related field with an emphasis in analytical chemistry.
- One to five years of chromatography experience in pharmaceutical analytical field is required.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and qualifying LC methods utilizing Agilent liquid chromatography instruments is desired.

$65 - $70 / hr
