Scientist, Business Development

Location: Remote (Missouri)

About the Role:

A fast growing biotechnology organization is seeking a Scientific Business Development Manager to join its global commercial team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a scientist who wants to move beyond the bench and apply their scientific expertise in a client-facing, strategic role.

You’ll collaborate with internal R&D teams and external biotech and pharma partners to help shape innovative research programs and partnerships across discovery and preclinical development. No prior business development experience is required - full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Master the science and business skills in the above-mentioned fields.
• Actively reach out to prospective customers, explore business opportunities, manage negotiations and secure contracts.
• Attend trade shows/relevant conferences.
• Support the Marketing Team in branding and building awareness in the marketplace.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in the bioscience field.
• Strong foundation in antibody discovery, immuno-oncology, animal models, or preclinical development .
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to engage both scientific and business audiences.
• Curious, self-motivated, and eager to learn the commercial side of biotech.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for conferences and client meetings.
