Position Summary

We need an SD WAN Consulting Engineer to design, deliver, and optimize cloud ready WAN architectures that improve application experience and reduce cost. You'll be the trusted advisor guiding customers through policy design, migrations, and adoption.

Detailed Job Description

You will lead workshops, build HLD/LLD, and implement SD WAN across branch, DC, and cloud, using platforms such as Cisco (Viptela/Meraki), Fortinet, or Versa. You'll design app aware policies, DIA breakouts, and security integrations (SASE/ZTNA), and run PoCs/pilots to validate success criteria. Expect hands on deployment, brownfield migrations with minimal downtime, and comprehensive runbooks. You'll also enable operations via dashboards, telemetry, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops; translate business goals into SD WAN policy and design
• Implement controllers/edges, templates, and app aware routing/QoS
• Integrate with security stacks (NGFW/SASE) and cloud on ramps (SaaS/IaaS)
• Lead migrations and acceptance testing; produce detailed documentation
• Troubleshoot complex overlay/underlay issues and optimize performance
• Provide enablement and handover to NOC/operations teams

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years in enterprise WAN with 2+ years hands on SD WAN (one or more vendors)
• Strong routing (BGP/OSPF), QoS, IPsec, and high availability
• Experience with brownfield migrations and controller-based architectures
• Proficient with templates/automation and monitoring/telemetry
• Strong stakeholder communication and customer facing consulting skills

Nice to Have Skills

• Vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco ENSDWI/Viptela, NSE7 SD WAN, Versa)
• SASE/ZTNA design and CASB/DLP integrations
• Python/Ansible for configuration at scale
• Multi cloud connectivity (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with performance monitoring (ThousandEyes, AppDynamics, etc.)
