<div><p>At Houston Methodist, the Physical Therapist II (PT II) position is responsible position is responsible for evaluating and developing the therapy plan of care for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities. This position may specialize in care for certain complex patient types, through advanced training and education. The Section of General Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Hospitalist to provide services at Ben Taub Hospital and the Harris Health System. Daytime inpatient teaching and nocturnist options are available. A blend of night and day shifts is possible too. The ideal candidates are patient-centered and committed to excellence in providing quality care in an inpatient setting.
</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Job Duties</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Provide medical care to adults in the inpatient care setting. Supervise residents, medical students, and other learners as needed.</li><li>
Coordinate with outpatient care teams for safe discharge of patients.</li><li>
Participate in any team meetings. Work with the team to develop the appropriate order sets and procedures that are needed.</li><li>
Contribute to quality improvement and research projects. Collaborate nationally with known leaders in the field. Keep up with continuing medical education as per college and section requirements.</li><li>
Renewing and meeting all required licenses and certification requirements.</li><li>
Familiarize with EPIC- electronic medical records and document all patient encounters as needed.</li><li>
Complete all documentation in a timely manner so that billing and other administrative tasks can happen smoothly to ensure a robust operational system.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>

Hospitalist - Harris Health System- Ben Taub Hospital (Assistant Professor)

<div><p>At Houston Methodist, the Vascular Sonographer II position is an experienced sonographer who completes a variety of routine to advanced non-invasive vascular sonograms to include, where applicable, transcranial Doppler (TCD). A member of the direct patient care team, this position is fully competent in all aspects of ultrasound exams, vascular pathology and physiology and serves as a mentor to Technologist I's and students by utilizing skills and knowledge to help train and educate others. The Vascular Sonographer II position works independently exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations. This position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic/special procedures and delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to sonography standards and guidelines established by radiology agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This position requires availability to be on call.</p><br>

Performs non-invasive vascular sonograms. Applies vascular sonography knowledge and skills, including a strong sense of vascular pathology &amp; physiology, to each clinical situation.</li><li>
Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing various sonography concepts to maximize performance. This includes: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors. Modifies technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognizes complications / limitations associated with certain procedures. Proactively identifies how to address these for optimum outcomes.</li></ul><br>

QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b><br>
<ul><li>
Follows imaging and sonography safety standards and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly. Properly utilizes patient radiation protection and immobilization during diagnostic procedures. Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures, regularly practices aseptic techniques, and ensures compliance with infection control procedures. Complies with job, departmental and hospital safety standards, practices and policies</li><li>
Ensures all imaging equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use. Reports any malfunctions to management and regularly practices preventive maintenance procedures; calls for service if needed.</li></ul><br>
