AFBCS is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered educator to join our team as a secondary elective teacher for the 25 - 26 school year. Our mission is to provide academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment, equipping students to reach their full potential intellecutually, spiritually, and socially.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The secondary elective teacher will select between the following elective options or provide a suggested elective that they are interested in teaching:

*Family & Consumer Science

*Technology

*Psychology

*Culinary Arts

*Nutrition & Wellness - Health

*Debate

*Speech

The teacher will develop and implement engaging elective courses for 6th-12th grade students that will integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Develop & teach elective courses based on expertise and school needs.

*Create innovative and relevant learning experiences that prepare students for college and career.

*Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview into subject matter.

*Assess student progress and provide regular feedback.

*Mentor students in developing skills and exploring potential career paths.

*Organize field trips, guest speakers, and experiential learning opportunities.

*Collaborate with secondary teachers.

*Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor's Degree or certification in relevant field elective subjects to be taught.

*Strong biblical knowledge and ability to integrate faith within subject matter.

*Excellent classroom management, organizational & communication skills.
