Summary:
The Manager of Secondary Marketing develops and executes strategies to maximize loan sales and profitability by managing relationships with investors, processes and oversees loan pricing, and monitoring market trends. The Manager involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk and using data analytics to make strategic pricing and securitization decisions for loan products.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement strategies for optimizing loan sales and maximizing profitability in the secondary market.
· Oversee the pricing, packaging, and execution of originated mortgage loans for sale to investors.
· Manage, lock, relock and extension request functions to secure investor commitments and manage interest rate risk.
· Monitor and analyze market conditions, including interest rates and competitors’ activities, to inform pricing decisions. Support Fair Lending initiatives and participate in Fair Lending Committee
· Utilize financial models and technology platforms for quantitative analysis, trading and loan securitization.
· Develops and implements strategic direction and process improvements for the Secondary Marketing department
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with mortgage investors, correspondent partners, and other stakeholders.
· Collaborate with teams (stakeholders, sales, operations) to ensure seamless execution of secondary marketing activities.
· Ensure compliance with secondary market requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
· Coordinate the development and launch of new technology and products to meet market needs.
· Provide leadership to the secondary marketing team and operate daily operations
· Create and analyze data to report on market activities, financial performance and risk mitigation strategies to senior management
Qualifications:
· Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products and secondary mortgage market.
· Proficiency in market analysis, data analytics and financial modeling
· Optimal Blue configuration experience required.
· Experience understanding the difference between brokered and correspondent loans.
· Knowledge of loan level price adjustments (LLPA’s)
· Enter new lenders into Optimal Blue
· Manage multiply rate sheets and manually price loans
· Execute concessions and track it in the system
