Position Summary:
Athens Services Security’s mission is to deliver a safe and secure workplace for all Athens employees, facilities, and customers. The Athens Security Operations Center (ASOC) supports this mission by providing 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and risk management services across more than 37 facilities in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. The ASOC serves as the single point of intake for corporate and field security issues across Athens’ operations.
The ASOC is seeking talented Security Operations Supervisor to support our rapidly growing operations center program. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of leading effective teams, managing security incidents, preparing and reviewing detailed reports, preparing executive summaries, coordinating with response stakeholders, and building positive working relationships among diverse operational and security teams. Success in this role requires flexibility, a bias for action, and a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills. Time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment are critical.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions

Oversee daily ASOC operations, ensuring consistent coverage, accurate and detailed reporting, and adherence to response protocols.

Supervise a team of Analysts and Jr. Analysts/Rovers, providing direction, and performance feedback.

Monitor and manage incident response workflows, ensuring serious incidents are properly escalated and documented.

Coordinate with Safety, Operations, and Human Resources teams on investigations, claim support and incident resolutions.

Ensure effective utilization of ASOC technologies (CCTV, access control, incident management systems).

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training materials for analysts.

Prepare daily and weekly performance reports summarizing activity, trends, and emerging risks.

Assist with the onboarding and training of new ASOC team members.

Participate in after-action reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Serve as the on-duty leader escalations, decision-making, and coordination during critical incidents.
Required Qualifications:

Five (5) + years of experience related to security operations, emergency management, SOC/GSOC operations, or other incident management roles in a high-volume environment.

Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience in a security or operations center setting.

Strong leadership, verbal communication skills with an ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in high-stress situations.

Proficient writing skills, including drafting, editing, and publishing professional reports, incident summaries, executive summaries and alerts.

Ability to quickly collect, assess, and analyze information necessary to brief stakeholders on critical, time-sensitive security and safety issues.

Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate analyst performance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree/certification in emergency management, security management, criminal justice, business continuity, or related field.

Experience with access control and CCTV systems (e.g., Solink, Brivo, Lenel, Avigilon, Genetec).

Experience in emergency preparedness, developing and/or participating in drills and table-top exercises.

Familiarity with Southern California risk environment and waste/recycling industry operational challenges.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
Salary: $68,640 - $74,448/year
