The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and providing financial reports to support strategic decision-making. This role includes overseeing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
- Review and verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other financial laws.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee junior accountants and provide guidance when needed.
- Coordinate with management on financial planning and reporting.
- Implement and improve accounting policies, systems, and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong time-management capability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
