Overview:

Job Purpose

The Senior Analyst will report to the Director/Manager of Tax Reporting. As part of the Corporate Tax Department, you will interact frequently with other members of the tax department and have regular interaction with Accounting, Treasury and operations finance staff on income tax accounting and reporting matters.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and year-end tax reporting for global income taxes pursuant to ASC 740
  • Coordinate with Federal, SALT, and International teams in relation to tax provision matters including gathering data and enter/review data in the tax provision software
  • Prepare quarterly and annually FIN48 movement and reflect that in the quarterly and annual provision calculation
  • Prepare tax related SEC reporting disclosures
  • Monitor internal controls over income tax reporting processes (Sarbanes Oxley compliance) and provide necessary documents to both internal and external auditors to support Tax Department’s SOX procedures
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliation and account rollforwards
  • Prepare return to provision true up, deferred proof, and payable proof including preparing detail journal entries to reflect these true ups in the general ledger
  • Prepare tax provisions for statutory financial statements or special reports for certain subsidiaries of the top parent company
  • Assist with the completion of the annual R&D tax credit study
  • Assist with various ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested

Knowledge and Experience

  • Tax provision experience preferred
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of U.S. Federal and state corporate tax experience, either in-house with U.S. multinational corporations or in public accounting
  • CPA and/or a master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
  • Proficiency in software applications, primarily Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment is a must
  • Ability to operate in multi-task and work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations.
