Responsibilities
- MUST have a minimum of 5 years documented AWS D17.1 certification.
- Previous certification in following specs. AWS D17.1, BAC 5975, AMS-STD-1595,DPS 10.301, PS22201, PS22240, STP0644, etc.
- MUST pass AWS D17.1 certification with the company.
- MUST be proficient with all TIG (GTAW) welding procedures.
- MUST be proficient with the proper and safe usage of TIG (GTAW) welding equipment.
- MUST be proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding of 0.016" - 0.035" thick sheet metal.
- MUST be proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Hastelloy X.
- Knowledge of the composition, structure, and properties of materials being welded, including their interactions, danger signs, and production techniques.
- Knowledgeable and able to interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, welding symbols and written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledgeable and able to apply shop math.
- Knowledge of and ability to properly use precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, surface plates, etc.).
- Follow established procedures to setup and operate the orbital welding system
- Cut and prepare all tubing and fittings used in the welding operation
- Perform setup of the welding system
- Assemble and calibrate liquid controllers and systems as required
- Inspect all completed assemblies using the borescope inspection system
- Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for the welding system
- Maintain a clean work area
- Maintain a file of all work records
Requirements
- MUST have vision acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye, and shall be able to read the Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 12 inches, corrected or uncorrected.
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with employees.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand a minimum of 10 hours per day.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and random ongoing on-the-job drug and alcohol testing.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
