Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial records. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by managing complex accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, and preparing detailed financial reports. Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation regularly to verify the correctness of financial statements and identify discrepancies early.
  • Manage payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget variance analyses for internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize our accounting DBA software and other financial tools to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards where applicable.
  • No payroll processing, but some related filing. Assist with tax preparation, and audit support to maintain regulatory compliance and accurate financial documentation.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation with precision.
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and budgeting processes.
  • Skilled in financial report writing with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and effectively.
  • Capable of handling accounts payable/receivable tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy levels.
  • Strong organizational skills including 10-key typing proficiency for efficient data entry.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
