The Senior Civil Utilities Engineer represents the Royal Commission, (the owner), to ensure the safety and quality standards of the project are met. This work is accomplished by the review of work plans, safety plans, quality plans, procurement plans and RFI's for ongoing work activities.
The Senior Civil Utilities Engineer shall provide an interface between RC Engineering and the other parties to resolve technical issues.
Oversees writing and review of Technical Query's. Provide support to Construction Department and disposition field changes by issuing DCN's.
Perform civil site development design / design reviews and coordinate with other disciplines and departments for site development packages.
Utilize computer and computer codes to perform site development analysis and designs.
Incorporates lessons learnt and best practices in standard engineering documents such as procedures, design guides, criteria and specifications.
Review Land Allocation Requests (LAR's).
Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
University/College graduate with BS in Civil Engineering or related.
8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering on large industrial and infrastructure jobs with emphasis in planning and site development including design of roads, storm drainage and utilities.
Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, design calculations, specifications and drawing requirements.
Conducts and directs quality reviews of projects, in accordance with engineering procedures and instructions and ensure consistency of reviews across the project areas.
Drives engineering progress and performance towards meeting or exceeding targets for a project.
Able to work in a culturally diverse environment recognizing and respecting differences.
