About the Role
SourceTeK is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer/Architect (Azure) for a Client. This position plays a key role in designing, modernizing, and securing cloud capabilities for DTRA under the I3TS program.
You will lead Azure architecture, identity management, cloud governance, and hybrid/multi-cloud integrations across Azure, AWS, and on-prem environments. This is a mission-critical role requiring deep technical expertise and strong familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and secure Azure-based architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity and mission requirements
- Lead Entra ID / Azure AD configuration, SSO, RBAC, and conditional access
- Integrate identity systems across Azure, AWS, and on-prem AD
- Develop Azure governance (Policies, Blueprints, Management Groups) and Zero Trust–aligned frameworks
- Architect secure hybrid connectivity across cloud and on-premise networks
- Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD SRG, FedRAMP High, and NIST 800-53
- Implement IaC using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support feasibility studies, pilot projects, and cloud modernization strategies
- Troubleshoot complex cloud outages, performance issues, and infrastructure incidents
Required Qualifications
- Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent)
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- BS degree with 12+ years of experience, or MS with 10+ years (additional experience may substitute for degree)
- 5+ years designing secure, enterprise-level Azure solutions
- Strong expertise in Entra ID / Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access
- Experience with multi-cloud identity integration (Azure + AWS/GCP)
- Knowledge of SAML/OIDC, federated identity, and cross-cloud authentication
- Familiarity with Azure Gov/DoD, FedRAMP, DISA STIG compliance
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, Azure CLI, CI/CD
- Strong communication skills, documentation ability, and capability to brief leadership
- Ability to work in a collaborative team and resolve complex technical issues
Desired Qualifications
- Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture
- Knowledge of Azure Government, Azure Lighthouse, Azure Arc
- Experience with AKS, containers, and secure Kubernetes deployments
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Prior DoD or Intelligence Community experience
- Experience leading engineering teams
