Senior Commercial Lawyer – Abu Dhabi (6 Month Secondment )

We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join our client in Abu Dhabi on a fixed term in-house secondment. The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded legal professional, able to work closely with internal stakeholders in operations, procurement, development, and finance. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial agreements , providing practical legal support to enable the business to deliver on its objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including supplier arrangements, service agreements, outsourcing contracts, licensing and franchise documents.
• Support procurement processes, vendor engagements, and major cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide clear advice on contractual risk, compliance considerations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver commercially aligned, practical legal solutions.
• Ensure adherence to applicable UAE and wider GCC legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years’ PQE, admitted in a common law or other recognised international jurisdiction.
• Solid experience in commercial contracting, ideally gained in roles supporting a range of industries or business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated negotiations and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
• Understanding of UAE/GCC regulatory environments is an added advantage.
• Commercial, adaptable, and confident operating autonomously.
