Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Senior Consultant, Quality and Patient Safety for our System Quality department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a member of the system quality services team, the Senior Internal Consultant serves as a trusted advisor who provides best practice guidance, data analytics, and strategic direction for optimal and equitable quality care outcomes at AHC. The domains of work include but are not limited to high reliability organization (HRO) principles, patient Safety, data analysis, and best practice consultation.
As a Senior Consultant, Quality and Patient Safety you will:
- Serve as an expert in high reliability organization (HRO) principles that promote world class healthcare delivery
- Serve as an accreditation readiness expert across the healthcare continuum
- Collaborate with entity leadership and key stakeholders via a high-touch/primarily field-based model to drive quality outcomes and achieve Quality Pillar strategic goals as an integral component of the AHC strategic plan
- Support direct care team members through systems thinking via SME workgroup representation
- Function in a consultative capacity to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate educational programming within a timely manner and within budget (including but not limited to HRO, Just Culture, Safety I v II, etc.)
- Identify and leverage anticipatory actionable data vs solely retrospective data to address quality and patient safety goals
- Lead systemwide performance improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools
Qualifications include:
- Master’s in a Healthcare-related field, Management or Business required
- Doctorate in a Healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years healthcare leadership, accreditation readiness, or organizational development experience required
- Minimum 10 years healthcare leadership required
- Current RN or Clinical license
- CPHQ required
- CPPS preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Health system experience (sensitivity to healthcare continuum and stakeholder management)
- Strong leadership skills
- Systems thinking mindset
- High Reliability Organization (HRO) knowledge/application
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability and willingness to flex in accordance with daily operational demands
- Strong facilitator skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to gather and analyze data regarding projects (Lean Six Sigma)
- Ability to manage educational projects using available resources within budget
- Advanced PC skills, including use Microsoft Office and Virtual meeting platform(s)
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday and includes rounding at AHC entities as necessary
Pay Range:
$127,850.69 - $191,776.04
If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:
