We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our finance team.
Job Summary:
The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for managing the cost control processes within the company, ensuring that all costs are tracked and managed effectively. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and financial analysis, especially in the context of aluminum fabrication. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights, enhance profitability, and support decision-making through accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Reporting:
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and budgets.
Analyze manufacturing costs and perform regular audits to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, including cost estimates for projects.
Monitor ongoing financial performance and provide forecasts to management.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely budgeting.
Cost Control Management:
Establish and implement cost control measures to monitor operational performance.
Review and analyze material usage, labor, and overhead costs.
Identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations for cost reduction.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, purchasing, and engineering teams to gather data related to cost structures.
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting practices and compliance with regulations.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analyses to inform decision-making at the management level.
Prepare presentations of findings for senior management.
Systems and Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements in cost accounting processes and software systems.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in cost control practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of [5-7] years of experience in cost Control analysis, preferably in manufacturing or aluminum fabrication.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
Proficient in ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
