Job purpose

Responsible for Interior Design functions through all stages of design in the generation of test fits research, design studies, documentation, FF&E, drafting, technical analysis and management as directed by the line manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior design activities across various projects within the design team.
• Produce interior design packages for projects from Pre Design to Detailed Design.
• Generate internal research and benchmarking documents with the team and maintain updates.
• Prepare interior design presentations as required for various projects.
• Produce test fits for layouts, design collateral, presentations, and project timelines.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules and approvals.
• Research and source high quality interior products including bespoke items, fittings, soft furnishings, lighting, furniture, sanitary ware, pictures, and accessories to the designer's brief and project requirements.
• Coordinate and review mockups, show apartments, villas or units for final ground implementation.
• Be an expert with local vendors related to architectural and interior design functions to support the design and build process.
• Maintain records of architectural and design consultants' prequalification; update and prepare consultant and bidder lists based on research and technical analysis.
• Ensure compliance to Bloom processes for architectural in-house and design consultants' work review, deviation monitoring, analysis and remedial actions.
• Coordinate/manage multiple stakeholders and build robust, long-term relationships and integrated teams.
• Hold regular meetings with the Executive Director - Design and architects/Head of MEP Division to review standards, procedures and project-related design issues.
• Perform any other duties as designated by the line manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Interior Design with minimum 10 years of experience.
• A keen eye for details and proven expertise in space planning.
• Proven ability to produce accurate, concise, and aesthetically pleasing presentations. Proven UAE experience is essential, and candidate must have a good grasp of design considerations.
• Strong competency in use of design software: AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, MS Office.
• Consultancy and design experience preferable.
• Candidates with a project management background will not be considered.
