Salary Range:
$148,000 - $175,000 plus Bonus
The Senior Director of HR at NewCold will lead the strategic human resource function supporting our North American automated cold storage and logistics operations as well as the corporate organization. He/she will drive HR initiatives that align with the complexities of an internationally fast-growing large-scale cold-chain warehousing and transport organization, ensuring workforce readiness, compliance, engagement and development in a highly automated, safety-critical setting.
In the role of the Senior HR Director you will be instrumental in shaping and executing HR strategies that directly impact NewCold’s operational excellence and business growth. By partnering closely with operations, engineering, corporate functions and learning & development, you will develop talent management, organizational development, and employee relations programs tailored to the unique demands of cold chain logistics and automated warehouse environments. Your leadership will ensure a high-performance environment that supports safety, innovation, and scalability while maintaining and promoting the unique NewCold culture that is the base for our worldwide growth and success.
Main Tasks and key responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support NewCold’s automated cold storage and logistics operations, focusing on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention.
Lead organizational design and change management initiatives to optimize HR processes in alignment with operational automation and expansion projects.
Oversee employee relations, compliance, and labor law adherence specific to head office administration, warehousing, and cold chain environments.
Collaborate with operations, engineering and corporate function teams to identify critical skills gaps and develop targeted training and leadership development programs.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture across multiple sites.
Manage HR analytics and reporting systems to provide actionable insights on workforce productivity, turnover, and engagement.
Partner with IT and HRIS teams to optimize HR technology platforms, ensuring seamless integration with operational systems.
Lead compensation and benefits strategy tailored to the logistics and warehousing industry to attract and retain top talent.
Direct succession planning and performance management processes to build leadership pipelines aligned with NewCold’s growth trajectory.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all HR matters impacting operational efficiency and employee experience.
Work trustfully and closely with global HR leadership and other regional HR leaders across the globe.
