Senior Draftsman Aluminium

About the Role:
We are seeking a senior skilled Aluminium Façade Designer to join our Aluminium Division team in Dubai. You will be responsible for transforming architectural and structural drawings into detailed shop and fabrication drawings for aluminium/glass façades, curtain wall systems, doors, windows, cladding and associated components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural and structural drawings; define the scope and design requirements for aluminium façade systems.
• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings (shop drawings, fabrication drawings, as-built drawings) for curtain walls, aluminium cladding, doors/windows, and glazing systems.
• Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists, profile lists, hardware/accessory schedules.
• Coordinate internally with production, procurement, site/installation teams; liaise with architects, consultants and contractors to ensure design intent, compliance and feasibility.
• Make sure designs comply with international standards, local codes, and project specifications, including structural, thermal and acoustic performance requirements.
• Update drawings as required based on site conditions, client/consultant comments and design revisions; maintain documentation and drawing version control.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-6 years experience in aluminium façade or glazing system design in the UAE / GCC construction industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), Revit (or equivalent BIM tools); knowledge of facade detailing, aluminium profiles, glazing systems, structural fixings & brackets.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, understand aluminium systems , glass types, cladding materials, doors/windows and their interfaces.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills; able to manage deadlines and multiple design packages.
• Previous experience working with aluminium façade fabrication/installation companies and familiar with the process from design through to site execution would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Dubai/UAE building regulations and façade authority approvals is a plus.
