Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting the design, development, and oversight of electrical power systems for large industrial and power plant projects. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. The role involves technical leadership, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with all applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and overseeing electrical power system design, including scope documents, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and circuitry designs.
  • Ensure all design work complies with applicable codes, standards, QA requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters throughout project life cycles.
  • Support system checkout and startup activities as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and disciplines to maximize project efficiency.
  • Apply strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to resolve technical issues.
  • Make independent engineering decisions with minimal management consultation.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with plant staff, design engineering teams, and vendors.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, preferably in power plant electrical system design.
  • Proven experience preparing technical design details, drawings, and engineering calculations.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects to meet deliverables and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with CAD Overlay is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and minimal supervision.
  • Experience working on large-scale projects at industrial or nuclear facilities.
  • Strong understanding of applicable industry codes, standards, QA requirements, and regulatory mandates.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred knowledge of industry design process IP-ENG-001.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $114,000.00 - $124,000.00 per year
