Role Summary
Lead complex design initiatives and set standards for quality and safety. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve challenging problems, and provide technical direction. This role is ideal for subject matter experts who are passionate about innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and shaping the future of engineering through strategic leadership and technical depth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Mastery in working with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Line Design Softwares such as O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, or DDS.
- Expert in the designing of electrical distribution physical structures, routing, equipment specifications, and wiring.
- Authoritative ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
- Strategic and detail-oriented, with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize complex systems and workflows.
- Trusted and respected, with deep expertise in fostering collaboration across disciplines and driving innovation within project teams.
- Forward-thinking communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design of distribution (<600V to 35 kV) systems using design software.
- Champion the application of client standards and applicable design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Oversee and refine drawing development and CAD-based design tasks, applying advanced expertise and driving quality standards.
- Champion mentorship and professional development across the team, serving as a technical resource and role model.
- Oversee and refine QA/QC processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with industry standards and client expectations.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, driving innovation and ensuring satisfaction through strategic engagement and collaboration.
- Strategize and oversee task execution to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget across disciplines.
