- Plan, execute, and monitor daily production activities in the plastic paint shop.
- Ensure achievement of production volume, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate manpower allocation, shift planning, and resource management.
- Monitor line performance, cycle times, and takt adherence.
- Develop and maintain process parameter sheets for pre-treatment, base coat, top coat, and clear coat operations.
- Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed across all shifts.
- Conduct process audits and implement corrective actions for deviations.
- Optimize paint consumption, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards for painted plastic parts.
- Troubleshoot paint defects such as orange peel, runs/drips, fisheye, pinholes, dust contamination, shade variation, and poor adhesion.
- Collaborate with the Quality department for root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support PPAP, FMEA, and control plan documentation for new products.
- Monitor performance of painting booths, robots, OHT systems, ovens, conveyors, and pre-treatment systems.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure proper calibration and upkeep of spray guns, robots, and measurement tools.
- Enforce safety protocols, PPE use, and workplace hazard controls in the paint shop.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms for VOC emissions, waste disposal, and paint handling.
- Conduct safety trainings, risk assessments, and near-miss analysis.
