Senior Engineer - R&D

• Lead end-to-end development of new products—from concept, design to final production launch.
• Prepare engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, and technical specifications.
• Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP documentation as per IATF 16949 requirements.
• Ensure 100% compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & EHS standards.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, Vendor and Customer teams for smooth project execution.
• Support design feasibility analysis, sample development, and customer approvals.
• Perform root-cause analysis, implement CAPA, and ensure corrective actions for process or design deviations.
• Ensure quality planning, documentation, and compliance throughout the NPD cycle.
• Communicate customer requirements and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Support vendor development for new components, materials, and tooling.
• Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM), cost-effectiveness, and quality in production.
• Monitor project progress, manage project risks, and ensure timely new product launch.
• Prepare and maintain all NPD documentation including:
• Control Plan
• Work Instructions
• Process Flow Diagram
• APQP Documents
• PPAP File
• Other IATF/ISO/EHS required documentation

Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Experience in springs, sheet metal components and related manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in New Product Development, preferably in the automotive or component manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with IATF documentation and project management.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
