Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP WM & EWM Consultant to lead and support warehouse management initiatives across complex business environments. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in SAP WM and SAP EWM, strong integration knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to design, implement, and optimize warehouse processes. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP WM and EWM solutions for new deployments, enhancements, and optimization projects.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and scalable SAP solutions.
- Perform system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation for WM and EWM modules.
- Develop and optimize warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, internal movements, picking strategies, put away, RF processes, bin management, task/resource management, and slotting.
- Act as functional lead on SAP WM/EWM projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, solution demos, and training for business stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PP, TM, QM, GTS, Finance) and technical teams (ABAP, Basis, Integration).
- Provide Level 3 support and guidance to business users for SAP WM/EWM-related issues.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for operational issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and hypercare.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP WM/EWM and other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Work with middleware and automation systems (RF scanners, conveyors, ASRS, PLC/WCS/WES systems).
- Support S/4HANA migration or greenfield implementations involving embedded EWM.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in SAP WM and EWM, including design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Inbound & outbound logistics
- Goods movement & inventory management
- Physical inventory
- RF framework
- Labor Management
- Slotting & replenishment
- Yard Management (optional)
- Integration with MM, SD, PP, QM, TM
- Experience with EWM on S/4HANA or Decentral EWM.
- Experience with integration to WCS/WES systems, IDocs, and SAP PI/PO or BTP integrations.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP EWM certification (preferred).
- SAP WM certification (Nice to have).
- Experience in large-scale global implementations.
- Exposure to automation technologies (AGVs, ASRS, conveyors, pick-to-light).
- Knowledge of Fiori apps related to warehouse processes.
