Senior Farm Hand / Mechanic - The Watermark Aggregation (Faulkner Farming)
Full-time On-Site Curlewis / Gunnedah NSW Region
About the Property
The Watermark Aggregation is a 6,000 Ha ( 4,400Ha cropping) property located near to Curlewis, 30km south of Gunnedah, 70km northwest of Quirindi, and 80km west of Tamworth. It is a diversified enterprise focusing on mixed cropping and grazing.

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Farm Hand / Mechanic to join the Faulkner Farming team at The Watermark Aggregation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong mechanical capability, and wants to contribute meaningfully across broadacre cropping operations.
You'll be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of machinery and equipment through effective servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance - while also supporting day-to-day farm activities from sowing to harvest.

Key Responsibilities
Farm Operations
• Support cropping activities across sowing, spraying, harvest and general land management.
• Monitor and report crop health, moisture conditions, pests and disease.
• Assist with pest and weed control activities.
• Maintain farm infrastructure and assist with daily property upkeep.
• Support accurate record keeping (spray logs, machinery use, harvest data, etc.)
Mechanical Maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on agricultural machinery, plant and vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and complete repairs or parts replacement.
• Maintain workshop standards, order parts and manage inventory.
• Keep accurate repair logs, service schedules and equipment records.
• Provide breakdown support during peak periods to minimise downtime.
Machinery & Equipment Operation
• Safely operate tractors, harvesters and farm vehicles in line with operating guidelines and training.
• Conduct pre-start checks and ensure safe use and care of tools and equipment.
General & Safety
• Work collaboratively within the team and represent the business professionally.
• Promote and follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across farming and workshop practices.
About You
You will bring:
• Mechanical trade qualification or strong practical mechanical experience (ag machinery experience desirable).
• Previous experience in broadacre cropping operations (preferred).
• Strong diagnostics and problem-solving capability.
• A proactive, team-focused attitude and clear communication skills.
• A commitment to working safely at all times.
• Current driver's licence (HR / forklift licence / chemical accreditation desirable).
