Boarhog has initiated a search for a qualified professional to fill the Senior Forensic Technician / Analyst (eCRAFT equivalency CSE3 Information Technology, Cybersecurity Engineer III) to work with a team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division (DD).

The NSWC DD provides the military with the development and integration of warfare systems for the warfighter, warfighting, and the future fleet. Its vision to design, develop, and integrate technologically superior, 21st century warfare systems. The 10 Dept is responsible for assessing Dahlgren Division business needs and providing specialized expertise, advice, and solutions in several areas including IT. The Code 104 is responsible for the management of the Command's unclassified RDT&E (uRDTE) and classified RDTE (cRDT&E) networks and the Secure Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) and non-JWICS Top Secret (TS) collateral and TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) stand-alone networks, and commercial Internet connections (e.g., wired, wireless, satellite). They also support the unclassified Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (uNMCI), classified NMCI (cNMCI), and the JWICS. Code 104 provides products and services such as IT asset management, IT procurement, telecommunications (landline, VOIP, and mobile Wi-Fi), network infrastructure lifecycle support and management, endpoint lifecycle support and management, SharePoint administration, enterprise application development, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Cybersecurity services.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and PROFICIENCIES;
  • Six (6) years of professional experience providing software, hardware, and wireless support, including mobile forensic examination to the client based on submitted requirements for functionality and use of developed tools.
  • Skilled in developing, testing, and implementing network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
  • Skilled in performing packet-level analysis.
  • Display technical comprehension of relationships, dependencies, and hardware and software component requirements.
  • Interpret submitted documentation, including user and functional requirements and develop forensic examination reports, reviewing and editing, and formatting NSWCDD Security Office publications for security guidelines and policies.
  • Possess knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies, cloud computing service models, and cloud deployment models in private, public, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Works independently, and may supervise/manage junior analyst.

CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
  • Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification required within 90 days after contract award.
  • IAT III level

EDUCATION
:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.- accredited college or university with at least 24 college semester hours in one of the following fields: computer science, digital forensics, engineering, information technology, or mathematics.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
  • Tier 5 background investigation (highest level of personnel security investigation used by federal agencies.
Replaces old SSBI)
