The Role

We are looking for a new team member to provide backend development support for our client projects. This starts as a part-time role with a potential path to full-time as our team grows.

What You'll Do

• Develop new and maintain existing features for NestJS backend systems
• Build React frontend features as needed
• Support ongoing client projects
• Work Asynchronously through tools such as Slack, Loom, Jira and Google Workspaces.
• Work from clear requirements with our experienced team members available for guidance
• Document your work and make your work understandable.
• Write clean code that is organized, and readable and review code from fellow engineers
• Maintain state of the art backend security standards in everything you do

Requirements

• 4+ years full-stack development experience
• 1+ year NestJS production experience (or strong Node.js background)
• Proficient with TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL
• Can work independently from specifications
• Strong written English for async collaboration
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows

Working Hours

• 25 hours per week, flexible schedule
• 4 hour overlap 16:00-20:00 Istanbul time (8 AM-12 PM EST) for team sync
• Perfect for night owls or those preferring evening work
• Remaining hours scheduled at your convenience

Compensation & Growth Path

• 60,000-80,000 TRY/month based on experience
• Dollar payment option available

• Target: evaluate full-time transition after 3-6 months
