Senior Inspector Quality

Penspen is urgently looking for Senior Quality Inspector for one of our Offshore PMC projects in UAE.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Recognized QA/QC certifications.
• Certification in NDT methods

Roles & Responsibilities

Inspection & Surveillance

• Plan and execute inspections per ITPs.
• Establish and monitor hold/witness points during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Verify prerequisites such as WPS, calibration certificates, and material certifications before work begins.

Compliance Assurance

• Ensure offshore activities conform to approved drawings, codes, and specifications.
• Validate that only authorized deviations are accepted.
• Review P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, electrical single-lines, and hook-up packs for accuracy.

Safety & Regulatory Oversight

• Confirm adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Documentation & Records

• Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability of materials and processes.
• Document non-conformances and initiate corrective/preventive actions.

Leadership & Coordination

• • Supervise junior inspectors and provide technical guidance.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, sharing best practices and improving inspection discipline.

Experience Required

• 10-12 years of QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years offshore
• Proven expertise in welding inspection, fabrication, piping, structural steel, and coating activities.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, AWS).
• Experience in reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control Procedures.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, electrical single-lines, and hook-up packs.
